I just goggled "NHS treatment for cought". The official NHS source contains "A pharmacist can help if you have a cough If you have a cough, you can ask a pharmacist about: cough syrup This is what every patient will see. And then I get to be the bad guy who says "NO, I CAN'T HELP YOU"

I have to say, these updated guidelines just show how far the powers that be are removed from the reality of treating real life patients. Everyone is told "See your pharmacist first". But they continue to pull the rug out from under our feet. This is a bad day

If the Scottish Government considers Community Pharmacy to be integral to the nations healthcare provision then why are pharmacy teams not eligible for a flu vaccination? Not even from December onwards when the cohort changes. A bit disappointing.

Ask the Scottish government to transfer every penny of every service that we pick up from GP's to be taken from their money and added to ours. No point paying twice for something. They are shut, but we are open for business...

Is there no end to the things GP's can't do thanks to Covid-19? Everyone else in the NHS puts on a mask and gets on with it. GP's lock the doors and head for their panic rooms.

What would the recommended advice be for patient's that come in to the pharmacy with a cough/fever and are homeless. This happened today in the pharmacy. Could we direct them to these physical centres? If that is the case would community pharmacies be provided with the locations of these centres?
